Case fatality rate = (Total number of deaths)/ (Total number of cases confirmed) is ranging between 0.21-10%  (it changes with context - varies by location, time, age, preexisting health conditions)
Crude mortality rate = (Total number of deaths)/ (total population)
Infection Fatality rate = Total number of deaths from a disease / Total number of cases 
Mortality Risk = Likelihood that someone catches the disease will die from it.
If the number of tests carried out affects CFR. CFR underestimates the true risk of death.
If the number of total cases is higher than number of confirmed cases, then the ratio between deaths and total cases is smaller than the ratio between deaths and total confirmed cases
